[drivingpairs] tandems?

do many of you drive tandems? I really just coping wi driving a pair, but
thought there might be some interesting training benefits to doing a little
work with them as tandem.  just from a spectator's point of view: tandem
seems to have all the difficulty of a four in hand, but without the
stability benefit ...  i have to think tht working in tandem, either lead or
wheel would have an impact on each animals self carraige. Thoughts? n
