Cool it, people!
Hardy is right. Safety comes first. Period.
And we are not just talking about people safety. The animals we drive have a
right to expect us to be humane in the way we treat them.
At the same time, I take issue with the list member who wrote that she/he would
never drive with halters when training. There are horses that must be worked
ina round pen before training. There are horses that would be ruined if they
were worked in a round pen.
You must all remeber that we do not train horses. They learn to accept what
strange things we ask them to do. We do not train them. If anything they train
us.
