Oh Deryn, I knew I'd be misunderstood! I, too definitely support =
hitching with an experienced horse. But not right off, the first =
thing. If, however, the young horse grew up following his driving =
mother, it can work successfully. (I think another one of our list =
members can attest to her experience) However, generally, I don't =
recommend it until the young horse has at least had some lessons in =
ground driving. If you have a couple of very experienced driving =
people doing this, perhaps it's ok. I do my training alone, so I =
usually take the slower, more cautious path. =20
