[drivingpairs] standing, whoa, and walk



When I first got my Morgans home, single driving is what I was doing
with them=2E  Not having had pair experience, single work is what they
received from me=2E  Having been Amish broke, the Stand and Whoa seemed
fairly reasonable, mostly, and not necessarily while out on the
drive=2E=2E=2E=2E=2Ebut get in the carriage and ask to move off at the Wa=
lk was
not as reasonable=2E  I spent a LOT of time just moving off at the
walk, and maintaining a walk throughout the entire drive for quite a
while=2E  Once they started listening to ME for changes in gaits, I
started asking again for the trot=2E   =20

BTW=2E=2E=2E=2EI watched my Morgans go in a Sterling Graburn clinic this
weekend at Shady Oaks, and they were looking quite lovely!! My
trainer has done a fantastic job with them, and they are starting to
look like a pair! They have been in training a while now, learning
balance, etc=2E=2E=2E=2Eshe can do all of that so much better than I, and=

much more consistantly!  I, in the meanwhile,have been working on
getting my body parts back in order=2E  NEVER stand behind daughter's
dairy cow within kicking range, and NEVER ride father-in-law's
horse=2E=2E=2E=2E=2Ebut I am healing!! =20
