For ring work I decided the sides for the horses going by their stiffer
sides. I put the horse stiffest to the right on the left so they had
the wider right turn. (and the horse on the inside is doing more
bending their easier way) I have Standardbreds that can get lateral at
times if they lose their balance so this seems to help them. Lucky for
me my horses have opposing stiff sides. But to work on that stiff side
I have to drive single or swap them so I can use the whip easier on
their inside.
