Sorry if I'm ignorant, but would you please explain what you mean by this? I
don't know who Corvall is, but "riding shotgun" in my understanding is the
person who was sitting next to the stage coach driver with the shotgun to
fend off bandits. So, with that in mind, what you described above, I could
only picture, as perhaps Corvall, who ever he is, perhaps your husband(?)
being the driver, then two horses hitched to a Doctor's Buggy and you sitting
next to the driver "riding shotgun" ? But also, Doctor's Buggies mostly where
single vehicles for one horse and one small driver's seat, were they not? I'm
sure some were also for a pair, but those I think were the exceptions, and
also some probably would have two seats in front. But again, "riding shotgun"
usually would not be with a Doctors Buggy in my mind, but with a stage coach.
But what do I know. So, I think I may have a whole different idea of "riding
shotgun" than you probably have in mind. So please explain.
Hardy (having been away for a while again and fully agree with Kathy on her
warning about jumping ditches with a carriage)
