[drivingpairs] lousy weather?

My computer had a nervous breakdown about 10 days ago so I missed all the
conversation about the lousy weather. Here on Vancouver Island we've had no
winter to speak of. It's been just wonderful and I still haven't driven
nearly as much as I'd like. All my harness parts to get my pair going
finally arrived on Friday (after waiting 2 and a half months!) and they were
mostly wrong, so I had to ship it all back. I wanted to scream!! In the
meantime I've been working the stallion who will be half of my pair, and
he's a peach at home, BUT.... I took him to a clinic out of town 2 weeks ago
by himself and he just came unglued. New territory and a mare in the next
stall was just too much for his little brain. The instructor was very
patient with him but he gave her an awful fight. I guess he's given up on
testing me. He never wins! Anyway, that convinced me that I really have no
reason to own a stallion and I don't want to deal with it. So, the vet comes
on Tuesday. No more 'Studly'. We're doing all the spring shots and West Nile
at the same time. Then in time, I'll be on my way to that pair again.
Happy driving,
Rachel
