Anya,
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but if color is judged AGAINST, it is
in presentation, not Dressage. I drove a bay and a chestnut for many
years....got a point knocked off because they were not color matched. I
countered that they were both brown, but it didn't work. Judging in
Presentation is very subjective, but it's only in presentation. Again, I may
be wrong, but don't think there's even a place for the scribe to mention
differences of color on the dressage sheet. If they make a good pair, don't
worry about little details like that. Presentation is only worth 10 points,
total. Drive them babies and have fun.
Can't say about gaiteds, no knowledge there. Anyone?
Helen
I will sneak out in the middle of the summer's night
And ride my favorite mare across the moonstruck meadow,
If my old bones will allow. And when people come to call,
I will smile and nod, as I walk them past the gardens to the barn,
And show, instead, the flowers growing there in stalls fresh-lined with straw.
