hi jeanine,
i was able to take the picture of your yoke set-up to my welder and
he is making up a yoke for the end of the pole on my new mustang.
the pole comes with a crab [i didn't know it was called that] that
swivels and can be removed by removing a bolt. i removed it and took
the end to the welder and he making a yoke that doesn't slide on and
off the pole like the draft ones nor will it swivel. it will be
attached with 2 links like yours and have adjustment and play in that
connection. the ends of the yoke will each have a ring on top and
bottom with snap shackles. the top will attach to the collar and the
bottom will attach to the false martingale... just like
yours....thank you very much for figuring it out in advance for me to
copy <G>
it occurred to me if the pair were attached with the pole or the
straps too short it would make their rear ends turn out and away from
parallel with the pole. i just thought that a yoke might be easier
to more consistently "get it right"... only time will tell and i will
still have the crab if i get it wrong.
tally ho,
