[drivingpairs] hay, weather

Here in hay country in Eastern Washington, we usually pay $80, up to $95 per
ton for good dryland alfalfa. $60 this year for some really great
triticale. The dryland alfalfa isn't quite as hot for horses as the
irrigated or later cuttings, and they really thrive on it. This husband
DOES , however, have to be careful to not over feed these minis, or he is in
big trouble when we start harnessing up coming into spring.

Weather.............we had a couple feet + of snow in the January storms.
It all went off, then we took on another 10" last week. We work in lots of
mud for a few weeks, as the snow goes off, so don't really get a lot of
driving in until early March.
