[drivingpairs] Re: good book recommendation- pairs

I haven't seen this book, so can't comment on it. I do like to watch draft shows. We were watching one a few years ago. The young driver of a Percheren 6-up had just won the class of 6's. When he pulled up to get his ribbion, since it was the last class of the day, he asked the judge if he would like to take a turn with them. The old guy handed his walking cane to someone next to him and climbed up on the seat.

He proceded to drive them around the ring, then did a diagional across the ring, with every horse on the bit, in step, in an extended trot! The kind of performance that takes your breath away!

I doubt that he would have a problem with light horse dressage.

Over the years, I have gotten some very helpful "pair" info from the "Draft Horse Journal". Yes, sometimes you need to be able to "adapt" the info to your own situation. That's true with anything you read.

I am looking for things to help me get up to speed on pairs. I drove a
pair BRIEFLY a few years ago, so am not completely clueless VBG. but I have
alot to learn. The beginning of this discription would make me think it is
related to drafts, and probably not very relivent for dressage type light
horse driving. Am I wrong?
