Helen's posting of her youngsters for sale reminded me that I need to do the
same.
ACF Steinway is a 2 year old gelding foaled in March of 2005. He is an
honest 15h, registered Morgan. He is still growing so will probably top out
at 15.3h. He is way too big for my equipment. I own the dam and sire so I
have raised him. I have been ground driving him, teaching him voice
commands. He is not bothered at all by my walking behind him. Steinway
has a very forward long reaching trot. He is very willing and obedient and
I think he will make a fantastic driving horse as well as a riding horse.
Fiona is a 2 year old Morgan/Haflinger cross filly. She is colored like a
Haflinger but leggy. She is only 13.2 and was foaled in March of 2005. I
think she will stop at 14h. She also is ground driving like her half
brother. I have raised this one also. Both horses are wearing harness and
an open bridle for the ground driving work. Fiona is really cute and has a
great work ethic.
Michelle in a dreary East Texas
ps both of these horses were bred to hopefully be driven with their
respective mom for a pair. Both are bigger than their mom. Oh, well. I
could try again.
