Hi Terri,
I like what your husband has done!  Rather ingenious!  I use quick release 
snaps right on the pole end to the breast collar, and only pole straps on 
the dressage carriage.

Also, I intend to keep driving with breeching.  I know several people who 
have had accidents with their pairs with no breeching on !

Florida Horse Park HDT this weekend, their first little show together.  We 
are going for forward and smooth, not fast, as it's a learning experience 
for the young guy!
