What a great discussion on bending away from the pole! I've been having a
problem with a client's minis pulling so far away from the pole that they are
practically falling down! We've adjusted the reins, re-adjusted traces,
switched sides, and come to the conclusion that they don't like what they are
doing! So, back to single only for awhile until they are comfortable again.
It
also helps to have properly adjusted equipment (which this client doesn't
have).
I took my ponies out for a drive around the neighborhood yesterday driving
tandem. What a great drive. Nice and relaxed trot, and just out for fun. I
am preparing to drive a unicorn hitch this week, as I'll have helpers. My
goal is to drive unicorn at a couple of BIG shows this year, just to DO IT! I
have no illusions of being competative with the' big boys' (fresians), but we
are just a 'simple' country turnout more interested in going down the road.
Happy & safe driving to all,
Trish Demers
