[drivingpairs] continuing the pairs selection question

Reality is,  alot of personal games have been played at that level of
equestrian sports in the past.  The masses have never been privy to what
they were or who was playing them, but what makes this so critical, is th=
at
1) it involves drivers this time, and 2) it has occured at truely a
junction in the road.  The USET and the old AHSA have just concluded a ve=
ry
expensive,  two year battle over being the NGB for international equestri=
an
sports in the US.  The USAEq has championed themselves as being the hope
for a new day and an end to the old politics of the past.  This is truely=

their opprotunity to demonstrate their willingness to put their words int=
o
actions.  The persons both involved and affected by this decision last we=
ek
have made it clear that Jimmy and Tucker both have some agenda behind thi=
s,
but no one seems sure what it is.  All I know is that we have to be heard=

and put a stop to it NOW.  Even if we can't get the result the pair drive=
rs
deserve, we have to send a message that we aren't going to stand for it i=
n
the future. =


FWIW,  and it  may come to nothing, but I called the USET this morning an=
d
asked what the proceedure is to have a director removed.  The bylaws
pertaining to directors say that it is bylaw 702,  but that only deals wi=
th
grievances relating to participation, not directors.  They said they woul=
d
get back to me.  I have said regarding other issues in the past completel=
y
unrelated to this, that I don't think you have much ground upon which to
complain if you don't participate.  That is what a democracy is all about=
. =

If they follow the rules and reach a decision I don't agree with, so be i=
t,
 but don't play games with people's lives.  =
