[drivingpairs] continuing the pairs selection question

given the effort/committment required by the drivers, I think the decision
of the selection committee was probably not lightly made -- but the
'secrecy' of the decision is strange - at least a strange way for any group
such as this to come to a decision. 

if the decision of the selection committee was indeed not financially
motivated, and also was not  not their stated reason on lack of
qualifications,  what do you think was their motivation in not selecting a
team?  It is hard to imagine that simply not having horse pairs represented
at world's would serve anyone's secret agenda.
