Its written by a draft horse guy, BUT, driving is driving - basically.  Learn 
the BASICS then refine your skills.  He does go into achenbach line 
adjustments as well.  There are also some other good books on driving written 
by Lynn 
Miller of Small Farmer's Journal fame that a VERY GOOD for ANYONE interested in 
driving wether it be 'carriage' or 'work' types.  Knowledge is never wasted.
