[drivingpairs] Re: bits

I think something many people don't understand about bits is that the term 
"snaffle" does not refer to the mouthpiece.  Snaffle indicates that the bit is 
shankless outside the mouth.  Half Cheek, Full Cheek, Ring, D, etc. are all 
snaffle bits but each of these snaffles can have a variety of different 
mouthpieces.

  horse(s), right now? I've driven all my pairs in Snaffles. That "may" not
  have been the best for them, but I've never had any real problems with them
  either.
