I have enjoyed the discourse on starting the pairs very much. However,
=
I am in the process of putting a well-broken team of small =
quarterhorses(14.3 hands, 950 lbs) to a small stagecoach(Depot Hack). I =
am trying for a certain amount of historical accuracy and have been =
studying as many photos of stagecoach hitches as I can find. Most of =
them seem to use a harness that appears to be heavier than the typical =
pairs driving harness but a lot lighter than draft harness. They seem =
to be using a set of hames that are made of wood(wrapped with iron =
around the perimeter). Eventually, I would like to expand the team to a =
4-up(I need one more horse). I can have the Amish in Yoder, KS make me =
a pair harness if I can come up with the refinements. Can the list =
address what I should be using for harness?
