Perhaps this isn't the best place to disclose this...
However, perhaps we'll hear from the Zilco people about Zilco's replacement
policy without getting into particular cases, which, as we all know have
about 3 sides per issue
Considering the higher price of Zilco one of the things I would expect is to
make good on the product, no matter what.
I have personal knowledge that Camptown does, no questions asked... a close
friend of mine...the person needing the replacement... I should be so lucky
as to be able to call Camptown Dave a close friend...
I have a Country Carriage USA synthetic and must say, nothing has failed, so
have no idea... but I'd bet my gator that it would all be handled
immediately...
I think the expectation that things will be made right is the real
difference between the $350 harness and the $800 harness...
There are a lot of other difference like adjustability, weight of material,
workmanship... though I've seen some fine workmanship on relatively
inexpensive harness, say Amish made.... My other observation is it
generally is thinner in width and thickness... but the slightly more costly
harness has a built in implicit promise that it will last... (built
in...Implicit...Redundant?)
That's my stand...

Don't know about anyone else but I recently had almost a 6 mo. argument over
cracks and the finish peeling off (clearly a defect since I never touched
the harness with any chemical only water)? I know I am not the only one that
has had a Zilco with this defect.
In the end I had to pay (a reduced fee) to replace the harness parts that
were defective.
Needless to say I was not happy. My Camptown pairs harness has served me
well. I have never had a single issue with fit or finish but Dave is
definitely very customer service oriented.

Would Zilco not make good on the failing parts? I know they are under
new ownership now. is the customer service not as good as it used to
be? I had a breast collar with cracks and it was instantly replaced
some years ago.
