[drivingpairs] Who we are

I seem to be having trouble getting this posted so I am sorry if it comes 
through twice!
 
There seems to be several new folks on list and lots of great discussion right 
now.  I have posted once in awhile when people are looking for specific items 
that are being discussed so let me tell you briefly about myself and my 
business.  

I began my horse career by showing pleasure and saddlebred style Pintos and 
discovered driving through the show ring.  When I tired of showing I still 
loved to drive.
I started Iowa Valley Carriage as a "cottage business" 13 years ago as a way to 
help finance my wagon trains and trail rides.  Earlier, I had started the 
Mid-Iowa Driving Association in attempts to bring a pleasure driving show to 
Iowa.  I had been to Kansas City, which in those days hosted one of the very 
few Driving Shows in the Midwest.

Currently, I no longer show, but I do enjoy recreational driving and am doing a 
great deal of trail riding which my 17' hand Pinto Foxtrotter.

I still teach at a state facility for delinquent kids, but the carriage supply 
business is growing so fast I hope to be able to retire and do that full time.  
I love traveling to driving shows and horse fairs and setting up as a vendor.
