Hi martha,

I wish i had known you wanted to drive tandem....you should have come 
to the tandem clinic Mickie Bowen taught here last weekend.  We spent 
Sat afternoon going over how to transform your single harnesses to 
tandem and what pieces of hardware you need and where to get them. 
Mickie had tons of stuff and Tracey Higgins and Marsha Korose brought 
some of their hardware too.  Then in the lessons we tried all the 
different turrets, roger rings and keys so people could decide what 
worked best for them.  We all took turns driving the other's tandems 
which was a blast ( caroline and ghostie were exhausted) !!!  and put 
tracy's adorable and very well matched ponies together.  We also all 
used mickie's leather leader reins...mickie was a bit shocked that 
many of us new drivers almost never use leather reins :) and i do 
like them better for tandem but i hate to clean !!!  It was a great 
way to try all this stuff out before you go up to smuckers and buy 
stuff you don't like.   Also, tracy was nice enough to bring down 
some bellcrown gigs so we got to take them on a test drive and they 
are wonderful and very adjustable.

Mickie is teaching another tandem weekend on Feb 22,23 so if anyone 
need help getting a tandem going...email me for info
