[drivingpairs] Re: What we do and sell

Hi, I work full time as a Software Engineer. Pays for the horses, that and
rising property values in California:-) I have just recently moved from the
San Diego area to the Central Coast of California near San Luis Obispo. I am
paralyzed from the waist down and in a wheelchair since 1991. I found out
about driving and around 1994 got a cart and harness and started driving and
going to local shows. I was breeding Appaloosas at the time. Then in 1998
(driving my homebred Appy Rocks Anne) I met Jody Cutler who convinced me to
show at the Driven Dressage Festival we have here in the West and there I met
Hardy:-) I found out about CDE's, Randy McFarland was just heading out to the
first Singles World Championships and I met Mickie Bowen who told me about
United States Driving for the Disabled.

The rest you might say is history. I continued to breed Appy's until 2002 and
then started crossing my broodmare to an Irish Draught. And now I have a 16hd
2 year old:-) I started driving pairs when I had a youngster that was overly
dramatic when she was being broke to drive single. So I had a pole made for my
single carriage and we hooked her up with her mom. I competed them in CDE's,
and a year later was able to take the youngster single. In 2004 I imported 2
Welsh Cob Geldings (8 and 9 years of age) They are horse size 15.1 and 15.2. I
show them single, pair and now tandem:-) Is a 4 in the future? Who knows. I
have 6 horses currently and all but the 2 year old drives.

My claim to fame, is that I have competed at 2 World Championships for Disabled
Drivers, and I am a long listed driver for the National Singles Team. I am
actively involved in local driving clubs (organizing club events) and back when
I was showing my Appy, I showed at Appaloosa breed shows. I mainly do CDE's
but I will probably show some pleasure shows with my boys as tandem. Trish if
you come to Pleasure Days in Paso with a tandem we will have 3 in the class:-)

What I sell. I sell Irish Sport Horses, suitable for Jumping, Driving and
Dressage.
