Doug, I have noted large discrepancies in weight doing it that way. I use a
bathroom scale under one wheel, and a set of blocks under the other wheel on
that axle so the vehicle is level from side to side. Then switch sides and add
the two weights. Repeat process for the other axle on a four wheeler. Even
weighing carefully with this method, I have noted fairly large side to side
differences.
And I have ALWAYS come up heavier that the manufacturer's spec sheet! <VBG>
With a two wheeler, one should balance the vehicle with the shafts up in the
air so the entire weight is carried on the wheels.
BTW, the high rider cart I used with the tandem weighed in at 202 lbs or 91.88
Kg, to meet the FEI minimum of 90 Kg.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, because you are crunchy and taste good
with ketchup.
And I STILL drive too fast to worry about cholesterol!
