Hi NJ, I still don't see what you are seeing? I know when he has the reins he has them attached to his waist as back up, and yes he grandstands and waives at the crowd, but still that is impressive to release your contact with your horses and change your point of balance at a critical point over a jump - hey I'm still impressed. I wish I could multi-task as well. When the horses are bridle-less I see no attachment between him and the horses other than the wands - how could he jump over a bar and still be attached to the horses? Please clarify? Jeanine PS: Anyone have the This is carriage driving video? I think that's the one, it shows a 8 up of someone roman riding but doesn't say who or where it was. -----Original Message----- From: drivingpairs-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:drivingpairs-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of noel jones Sent: Tuesday, December 26, 2006 7:03 PM To: drivingpairs@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [drivingpairs] Re: The Flying Frenchman - hollowbacked expressionless? > I think > part of the training for him to be able to stand on their backs and > have nothing to hang onto is the horses have to be able to read his > balance and respond immediately by slowing or speeding up as needed.
