[drivingpairs] Switching ponies from left to right

I haven't been driving pairs for very long and need some advice in 
regards to changing my ponies from one side to the other. I am more 
comfortable driving the one pony on the right side the other to left 
side and have never changed sides with them. I was told this is not a 
good thing and should change them up periodically because they will 
physically develop more to one side. What is the opinion from all you 
pair drivers? and if the consensus is to change sides, how often should 
they be switched?
