The two best things to help teach a horse to stand are a hot summer day and
repetition.
The routine is:
work work work work STAND. fidget? Okay work work work STAND stand stand.
fidget? okay work work work STAND.
Sooner or later if you are matter of fact about it-- and the natural
repercussion for fidget is work--the lightbulb will come on.
This works for riding horses (and teenagers) too
A gin and tonic for the trainer helps as well....
