I absolutely agree that it is wonderful to have a pair that will stand quietly
in harness. Most horses learn this lesson fairly easily. Some very forward
horses have a hard time learning it. With these horses, you have to ease into
it. Be happy with short moments of success. A good horseman knows how to
"read" his horses and when it is prudent to move them forward. Be quick to
reward them.
