Don't apologize Lona. As far as I can tell, no one was born with this
knowledge, we all learned it at some point along the way- it's just your turn
to learn about it. Then you can share what you know with someone else.
I think trying to use your roller bolt traces on a singletree is inviting
disaster, better to have the right equipment designed for the job than to
patch it together. In looking at the catalog picture, there isn't a lot of
detail.
If your roller bolt trace allows you to remove the monkey link and just leave
you with a slot, you can probably use the traces. If not, I'd order a set of
slotted traces, and be safe all the way around. If the brass hardware is
stitched permanently into the leather leave it alone and get the proper
traces for your equipment.
