In many of the parades I've attended in Germany, they use teams of 
stallions.  One is a 6-up of Friesians, who are quite beautiful.  Stallions 
seem to be the "preferred" show teams for the "skilled" drivers (in other 
words, they like to show off, lol).  At the Leonhardifahrt in Bad Toelz, 
Bavaria, which is a religious procession of 80 plus wagons all pulled by 
four-ups, there are many stallion teams.  I will be watching this for the 
third time this November and can't wait!  The stallions often wear muzzles 
that look medieval and very sturdy.  Some don't wear any.

I have many photos of these parades if anyone is interested.
