I have heard of them coming open too (even the good ones), so I was taught
to do a quick wrap with electrical tape. So that you can still open them
quickly (otherwise what?s the point of quick-release?) leave a little tab of
tape to grab and open (where the horses can?t reach it I guess).

Subject: [drivingpairs] Question
Question for the CDE pair drivers. Do you use quick releases on your pole
yoke? We do. BUT, we have had them come open. I would be interested to
hear what others do. Paul has a new pair carriage (Van der Heuval) with a
relatively wide yoke compared to our other poles.
