[drivingpairs] Poles

So here's a question from the newbie pair driver (so ok I am such a
newbie that I have yet hooked them up! BUT this happens Saturday!!!!)
I have been doing research on pair carriages of the
presentation/pleasure variety (anyone out there got something suitable
for two 13.1 boys???) and I see descriptions such as "drop pole" and
"shock pole whit evener". Would someone mind providing me with a) an
explanation of differences and or pros and cons or b) somewhere (teach a
man to fish ........) I can learn about this?
Dan in West Central New Jersey (with too many horses, ponies, dogs,
cats - oh well, I just say that you can never have too many if you can
care for them properly)
