[drivingpairs] Pole Head Question

I used to have a fixed pole head with fixed rings for the straps and changed it 
to a swivel with a swingtree type thingee whose name escapes me.  (Been a while 
since I drove a pair!)  Anyway, which do folks who are actively competing in 
CDEs prefer and why?

I am ordering a pole for my Bellcrown and am not sure which way to go.  

If anyone is interested in a well maintained pair vehicle for 11-13 hand ponies 
I am selling my Jeff Day.  Too small for the new guys.  It has a dickey seat, 
shafts and pole.  Black with red pinstripes.  Super condition and just serviced 
by Carl Furst- new bearings, etc.  Loads of spare parts as well.  $5000 OBO.
