[drivingpairs] Pleasure Drive

Hi everyone

We just got back from the Lord Stirling Pleasure Drive in Basking Ridge, NJ.
I have always wanted to go and see what the grounds and place is
like.

What a beautiful place to drive.  Very flat and perfectly groomed trails.
We did 7 miles and took a nice drive.  We also walked thru some of the
hazards.  We also were allowed to school the water hazard.  We walked it and
then went at speed.  What a hoot!  Thanks so much to the people who put this
event on.  They have another one in the Spring right before their event.  We
will be back for that and hopefully for the event.

It was a shame but their were only 3 carriages there.  Two were Haflingers
and we brought my pair of Shetland Mares.  The weather was very iffy with
rain showers but we didn't get a drop while we were on the course.    You
can get a yearly permit to drive there too.  Well worth the money.  Betty
