[drivingpairs] Re: Pair vehicle - was: Happy to have found you!



I drove my single vehicle weighing  (500lbs) (which by the way my 14.3hd
appy had no problem pulling) with my 15.1/15.2 hd pair and about destroyed
the carriage.  The pair was to strong for the 5th wheel, and hazards were
kinda of scary.  I made sure to have a large groom with the pair and a
single vehicle, and he had to work hard.   I now finally have my pair
carriage and I'm much more comfortable, and it weighs a lot.  Ask my Dad (he
puts it in the trailer:-)  though I do have a winch for that.

So, you can use a single vehicle with a pole for a pair but once you really
start to go at any type of speed or are just putting lots of miles on with
the pair the single vehicle might not hold up.

Just a few things to think about.
