No one has mentioned the fact that if you lose one of a pair and decide to
sell the other, it helps if they drive on both sides of the pole. We have
broken several young draft crosses, and drive them on both sides so that
they will be more versatile. Usually we drive them three or four times on
one side, then switch to the other side.
