Hi all,
WHAT an exciting week I have had. Last Sunday, I was at the big
Zelhem, Netherlands show watching the multiples doing hazards. You can see
some of the pictures I took at http://www.tangwyllt.com/Drivingeurope.htm .
Later in the day, I went for a lovely ride in the Dutch countryside with my
friend's four in hand of Welsh Cob. What fun!
On Monday while touring the UNESCO World Heritage site in
Kinderdijk (19 preserved windmills), I had a phone call for my daughter to
tell me we had a new Welsh Cob filly. You can see her at day three at
http://www.tangwyllt.com/Magdalena.htm . We arrived home June 2nd.
Today I dropped off her full sister at Larry Poulin's. Larry had
another of my Cob mares last fall so the pair thing is getting closer and
closer. Hopefully, they will be driving as a pair sometime in July. The
filly is a great addition since from I think she should become my future
'spare' for the pair.
Yes, I realize it is rather silly to try to breed your own for a
pair but it is fun to try <VBG>. It has taken me only seven years and four
foals to get something that I think will match and is a filly. OK, I don't
breed my broodmare every year since she is very protective of her foals and
won't let a stallion near her with a foal at foot. I have become resigned
to this fact. Having a quality foal every other year is not a bad thing..
Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Yours,
Claudia Novak
