[drivingpairs] Looking for a well broke, good looking pair

.... and for $2000, right?   Sounds like the dream team :).

I just had to chuckle.  My friend Karl got a good deal on his mare ($1000) a 
few years back because no one else would buy her as the owner went bankrupt (in 
fact, he'd walked away from leasing her for 6 months after she kicked him in 
the stall).  Her replacement, for the same price, needs to be at least 16 hands 
(his ego hurts on a shorter horse), younger, dead calm, dead broke to a 
leverage bit, western style only (he can't use English reins to save his life 
-- my instructor tried), can't bounce at all (he can't post to save himself), 
but can't be gaited, needs to trot for shows, and has to have an Araby face and 
delicate neck, optimally be bay, and have nice white markings.  Oh, and needs 
to be trailride proof, and no vices.  Rolling on the floor yet?  I'm serious 
;).  Sigh, in this economy, maybe he can :).  I green broke a social, calm, 
nice 16H black bay pedigreed, already buggy broke standardbred mare (with nice 
nose, not roman, and who was calmer than her buddy horse on our first 
trailride) at my old boarding barn for him (and for the barn owner in thanks 
for breeding help :)), who had such nice conformation, that my dressage 
instructor did flying lead changes on her, first time on board, and he wouldn't 
pony up the $3K (a stud fee was used to make her, by the way -- she wasn't an 
in-house bred, and an outside trainer had been paid to buggy break her).  A 
premed student liked her when I gave her a tour of the barn, immediately leased 
her, and bought her at the end of the month.  They are still going strong over 
a year later.
