[drivingpairs] Re: Leaning away from Pole

Wow- that happened to us also.  Are you using a direct connect to the pole 
(sorry-can't remember what it's called)  rather than a neck yoke?  We were and 
my haflinger gleding and mare made a "v" shape as they went down the road.  
They were wearing themselves out.  I believe our strap was too short connect 
their neck collars to the pole.  We are novice pairs drivers so I will be 
interested in seeing answers to this.  Anyway- we ended up switching to a neck 
yoke 
and we didn't have a problem afterwards.  We also had someone with more 
experience say that if there is a difference in body length of the horses that 
the 
traces should be adjusted that the butt of the horses is even rather than their 
heads?  Can someone explain the reason for this?
