Hi Karen,

I have a lignite carriage and it's fine for a single
mini (that's me and LovBug on their website).   But to
do a pair with that carriage will raise some eyebrows.
  It can be done with minis, less so with larger
equines.   You will need to get full neck collars and
avoid breast collars.  Still the pole and the weight
of the whole cart with you in it will rest on their
necks.

I am getting a carriage made by IteBte that will be
very light.
