[drivingpairs] I did it!



So ok, my wife is hugely supportive, but she has her stallions (4 of 
them) and frankly thinks I have gone slightly nuts.
So I am writing to the one place where I KNOW there are people who will 
understand what just happened in my life.
Today I drove my pair of ponies for the first time. There were some 
wonderful moments. Some great moments. Some merely fabulous moments - 
but no bad ones. Not even when we couldn't get reins sorted
out right and minor stuff happened. (oh and lest anyone panic - my 
teacher Amie Bauman was with me every second of the way)
It was incredible.
I have so much to learn. BUT we have started and it looks like they'll 
make a good pair (thank you to their former Mom's  from whence they came)
Ok. I am through gushing. Now I have to read and read and practice and 
practice.
