Hi Beverly,
We had a local auto/boat upholstery shop make our pole pad. I would
suggest velcro instead of a zipper. Think of what happens when the
zipper is full of mud/dirt/sweat etc.
If you are handy, the large swimming pool noodles will work for the pad
and than you can make a cover out of vinyl or you could always catch
and skin some naugas
