Dear Bob and Beverly and ??,
When I made the pole for our little 4 wheeler my wife and I went to the
hardware store, Home Depot in our case, and bought some foam rubber that
was designed to fix around water pipes and help prevent heat lose or
freezing. After wrapping some of that around the pole we measured the
pole diameter and length. Then we went to the local upholstery shop and
asked them to sew a length of naga (sp) hide and put some velcro on the
long sides of the fabric. We drive with that padding today and it is
still working just fine for us. Take a look at our web page:
http://myweb.cableone.net/lrsmith and you might see a couple of
pictures of our padding.
Best to you and yours, Bob Smith, Prescott, AZ
