I'm just about finished reading the "Funny Cide" book by The Funny Cide 

Team with Sally Jenkins, and would recommend it to all who have an 

interest in horse racing.  One quote, in particular, caught my 

attention:  "Almost anyone can buy a horse, but hardly anyone can afford 

to own one."  How true it is that the purchase price is but a drop in 

the bucket compared to the upkeep.
