But I'm feeling grumpy.

Add to this the horse rescue from the Netherlands a few weeks back I think
it was

 

Remember the long awaited movie, The Horse Whisperer.

 

Add, add, add.

 

As horse people we gripe that there aren't enough movies, books,
_________________________ (fill in the blanks) for us to enjoy as true horse
knowledgeable people.

 

So, every now and then we come across something that is 'right up our alley'
so to speak.

 

Something that features beautiful horses, beautiful men ( I'm old; I'm not
dead !!!) thrilling music.

 

.and what do we do?

 

Do we go to work to make sure word of mouth gets enough viewers to watch so
the promoters make a reasonable return on their capital investment?

 

Do we look for positives?  Do we look for the beauty, the splendor, the
awesomeness (is that a word). do we say thank you for producing material
that makes our heart sing?

 

I'm afraid most of us are critical, nit picky, down right insulting,
suggesting unkind methods to get the animals to perform (where are you when
the elephants are chained and the tigers kept in tiny little containers, and
the liberty horses are drilled endlessly?).

 

Its been suggested even that fishing line is used to make these horses
perform at this level . well, I'm here to say, if fishing line could get
those sorts of performances from a barely domesticated beastie I'd go buy a
case of the stuff.

 

Wouldn't it be just as easy to say My Goodness that was beautiful, that was
awesome to watch, that made my heart sing..

 

If you were a producer, a writer, an agent, would you risk producing a horse
centered product knowing how critical your word of mouth audience is, the
very same audience upon whom you will need to rely to get the word out to
get the general public to  come out and  pay their dollars to watch?

 

Do you think NASCAR racers (one of whom I am directly associated through no
accident of birth; Hello Gregory my dear son) belittle the movies made to
gain support for their sport?  I understand they are only too thrilled to
get the coverage to bring out first more spectators and eventually, more
competitors.

 

Lets take a page from their book and lighten up.

 

Watch these videos for what they are. edited, produced, distributed, for our
enjoyment..

Joe  Price in Texas may still enjoy the flames but hey, I'm willing to take
on my own.

 

Horses are beautiful.we get so few opportunities to see them performing at
their ultimate efforts .  Sit back and enjoy it for Goodness Sakes.and
applaud
