[drivingpairs] ADS Proxy

Many of you may have recently received a Proxy form from Ann Pringle at the 
ADS. 
As a member of the Ad Hoc Bylaws Committee, I urge you to fill in and return 
the 
proxy either by e-mail or by FAX.  If you are an ADS member and did not receive 
the proxy message, let me know and I will forward a copy to you.

Working with counsel regarding the bylaw changes needed to come into compliance 
with our new 501c3 status, and the ability to register as a charitable 
organization throughout the 50 states, it was discovered that the quorum 
requirements for ADS meetings have been out of compliance with NY Law for many 
years.  The proxies and the ability to ratify the previous actions taken by the 
ADS will "fix" things, so we can move forward with a firm legal basis.

If you wish, you can appoint me or another ADS member that you know will be 
attending the meeting to act as the holder of your proxy, but as noted on the 
form, leaving the name blank will allow Ann Pringle to vote the proxy as noted 
in 
the limiting text on the document.
