I came across Indian records this last week. Included Baptism Registers of Chaplains. I got the impression they were mixed as one was Church of Scotland chaplain and I'm fairly sure some of the others were Church of England - but they may not have included others.

I'd look if I knew what who I was looking for.
There are other military records on FMP as well.

SO!!! The question I have is based on the fact that a good Catholic
would ensure that all his children were in a state of grace (ie
christened) yet since there are no regular parish records, could the
regiments have had a chaplain who performed the religiuous duties for
the regiment? If so, would there be a written record of those
sacraments. The who and the when. Then of course, if 'yes', then where
are they kept now?
Any ideas?
