[dokuwiki] Re: strange problem with reverting revisions

Hi Wes,

We tried that scenario, but it warns the original user when they go to save that the page that the page has changed. Neither user saw that message, and the "old revision restored" did not occur when we allowed it to resave anyway. It's very weird, and I wish I could explain it.

Perhaps one exceeded the editing page lock and then they both saved

We're running DW 2008-05-13, and I'm getting a problem report from 2 users
concerning one of our Wikis. At two places in the revision history, we see
"old revision restored" on the "start" page - one time by one of the users
of the Wiki, and the other by the other user of the Wiki. Neither user says
they have ever restored the revision history on "start". Two hacked accounts
seems unlikely. We played with different scenarios with locks, but couldn't
make the problem reoccur. Since some data is being lost, we definitely want
to understand why it's happening. When might the "old revision restored"
message appear in the revision history if a user did not explicitly revert
the revision themselves?

Thanks,

Jason.
