I agree, this should be ok.

Another solution could be send an email to the admin, but a .lock file should be used in order to send only
once the warning message to the admin and that lock should contain also the new version number to send
only one warning messega per new version.
Also, an admin email should be configured, etc, etc. Too much trouble for me.
