The indexdir ('index') does not exist, isn't accessible or writable.
You should have an "index" directory inside the "data" directory.
I haven't found and index directory in the data directory. Is it possible
that it was part of an earlier release? (I am using the current release:
2006-11-06.)
The index directory was introduced after release 2006-11-06 was made
public, so upgrading from any release to current RC or to devel
revision needs creation of this directory inside the data directory.
